Paint, Palette & Pizzazz

Kevin Casteel was born and raised in Overland Park, a suburb of Kansas City, MO. Two years after graduating from Shawnee Mission South high school, he began a 24 year career in the U.S. Navy in August of 1983. In 2006, while instructing at the Navy’s Air Traffic Control School in Pensacola, FL, he was commissioned by the school’s Commanding Officer to design and create a military themed mural located in a stairwell leading to the main school offices. After two months, the mural was completed and to this day welcomes each new student to the start of their professional naval career. Since that beginning, Paint, Palette and Pizzazz was born with Kevin spending countless hours producing works of art for churches, day care centers and personal homes. Additionally, he has held numerous public painting classes at local libraries and nursing homes. Kevin has resided in the area since 2014 and is a proud member of the Associated Artists of Winston Salem. Currently, the business is operated on a mobile scale, however plans are in place to eventually procure and open a local art studio within the Triad area.
